Here's one of our own, Megan Fails:
"I grew up in pharmacy. My dad currently owns seven stores and I have been a pharmacy tech for more than seven years. I can remember hanging out in the back late at night with my brothers and sisters while my parents did inventory.
I can remember late night or weekend calls when the pharmacy was closed but someone had just come from the ER and needed something, so my dad got up and went into the pharmacy to take care of them. I watched him love and care for his patients. The truth is, independent pharmacists would do anything for their patients to their own detriment sometimes.
Unfortunately, pharmacy has changed so much. It went from being something that could sustain itself and a family to major challenges. We used to just be able to fill scripts and now, just filling scripts means that you might not survive. Pharmacy has to make some adjustments and think a little differently.
This is how Hinge Point was born - specifically the Medicare services offer. We realized that insurance companies have everything to sell, but no one to whom to sell; while pharmacy has everyone to sell to and nothing to sell. So we brought the two together in a cohesive way that serves both the pharmacy and the patients."
THE HINGE POINT
A Hinge Point is the point where something literally pivots. It's the turning point where you are going to see a significant change take place.
"This is going to REVOLUTIONIZE Independent Pharmacy. We've needed something fresh like this for a long time."
"I've been using Amplicare, this system is just as easy, but now we get compensated."
"We've never known who to trust, we are so glad the pharmacy is doing this."
"This is something we should have done for our patient's years ago."
